ANGER that i need to let off of my shoulders so i thought why not get some sort of recognition after i am done fighting. If any one has some pointers to where i should go to  start then hook me up.

Comment on Should You Teach Juniors This? by Ruth

I have to agree with your philosophy on this; being selective about which moves the junior class learns is only common sense.

You're never going to be able to keep everyone happy, and in something like martial arts, especially when dealing with children, safety has to be a top priority. Even if you teach something potentially safe in the dojo, there's simply no way to be certain that a junior student wont go into school the next day and say 'look what I can do' and choke one of their classmates into unconsciousness!

Another problem is that junior students don't want to learn the reasons why moves work the way that they do; they're young, they want to do something a little more flashy and move on to the next thing. There are of course some notable exceptions (aren't there always?) but in the majority of students this is the case. Seniors will have a greater tendancy to learn 'why' as well as 'how', although, again, there are exceptions, and this will equip them with a better appreciation of the risks involved.

It appears all the discussions have been lost. All content appears to have been wiped...

And we can't recover anything from www.archive.org because robots.txt don't allow it.

Since when have I been fair?!!!

Fair point though, and I'm not quite that bad, which is why I made it a little easier than it will be in the future, almost multi choice.

To their credit, the ones taken it so far have done well.

I did question myself as to whether to at this time or not.

I think that asking guys who are grading in a week to suddenly pass an anatomy exam is a little rough....

I am sure the guys know enough on how to break x bone and where to hit someone to knock the breath out of them... but anything else at this late in the game is unfair.
